Terms of Service

Effective: 2026-07-13

Welcome to NeurodiversityHK. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the NeurodiversityHK platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

NeurodiversityHK is a student-led community based in Hong Kong that connects neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals through programs, workshops, and events.

You can reach us at neurodiversityhkorg@gmail.com for any questions about these Terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

If you create a participant profile on the Platform, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of that participant and have the authority to provide their information.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Platform only for its intended purpose: enrolling in programs, managing your family's participation, and engaging respectfully with our community.

You must not: attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform, other accounts, or our systems; scrape, harvest, copy, or otherwise extract data from the Platform by automated means; interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Platform, including through denial-of-service techniques, malware, or reverse engineering; upload content that is unlawful, harmful, discriminatory, harassing, or that infringes anyone's rights; or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and we may report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.

4. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the Platform, including encryption in transit, access controls, and continuous monitoring of our infrastructure.

No system is perfectly secure. You use the Platform at your own risk and agree not to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform without our prior written consent.

5. Program participation

Enrolment in a program does not guarantee a spot; capacity, safeguarding, and program-specific requirements apply. We may cancel, reschedule, or modify programs and will make reasonable efforts to notify enrolled families.

Participation in in-person activities is at your own risk. Parents and guardians remain responsible for the wellbeing of their participants at all times.

6. Content and intellectual property

All content on the Platform — including the NeurodiversityHK name, logo, program materials, text, images, and code — is owned by NeurodiversityHK or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from Platform content without our written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use directly related to your participation.

7. Third-party services

The Platform relies on trusted third-party providers for hosting, authentication, and analytics. Their use of your data is governed by their own terms and privacy policies; we choose providers that offer strong security and privacy protections.

8. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NeurodiversityHK will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you through the Platform or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Hong Kong.
